AUSTIN FILM FEST PANELS
Join Disfluency Writer/Director Anna Baumgarten as she speaks on the panels below at Austin Film Festival.
"INDIE FILM TRACK: ASSEMBLING YOUR TEAM"
Have you sat on a set and watched the 30 or so people in the organized chaos and thought "how did someone find all these creative and passionate people?" A film can only be as good as the people behind the scenes. This panel is all about assembling your team to start the journey of creating a film. Learn how to get others to support your idea, and to be excited to make your idea come to life. Grab your pencil and paper and head on over for a panel you don't want to miss.
Must have an AFF Producers or Conference Badge to attend.
"INDIE FILM TRACK: FROM SHORT TO FEATURE"
Remember that scene in The Iron Giant when Hogarth discovered the Giant in the forest? Since attaining his degree in Radio-Television-Film from The University of Texas, he has mainly worked as an editor on feature films such as On The Line, Monstrum, and Apollo 10 ½. He has also worked on productions such as Heist: The Musical which was part of the Frank Denius Showcase partnered with SXSW.
Since interning at Austin Film Festival, he has held the position of Shorts Programmer, and now Film Competition Director where he has been able to grow his passion of finding passionate stories and new voices in film. His first cycle as Film Competition Director has been full of excitement as he programmed a slate of over 40 feature films and 100 short films. Tim spends his spare time on a bike, swimming in Barton Springs, or sleeping in the hammock on his patio with his cat.
